I fell.
Nothing dramatic.
Just a stumble on a familiar path.
A scraped arm.
A bruised leg.
I stood back up, brushed myself off, and kept walking.
A few days later, I found myself in that same place.
This time, I wasn't the one who fell.
I watched someone else stumble in the very same spot.
We all fall.
Sometimes on a path.
Sometimes in our work.
Sometimes in our relationships.
Sometimes in our confidence.
The fall itself is rarely what stays with us.
I didn't think much about my fall.
I was tired.
I wasn't paying close attention.
I fell, brushed myself off, stood back up, and continued on my way.
A few days later, as I walked that same path, I found myself reflecting.
Then, almost at that exact moment, I watched someone else stumble in the very same place.
That's when I began to see it differently.
The fall is only the beginning.
Everything that follows is where the meaning unfolds.
Maybe that's why we sometimes find ourselves falling in the same places.
Not because life is repeating itself.
But because we are.
And each return offers another opportunity to notice something we couldn't see before.
Life isn't asking us to avoid the fall.
It's inviting us to return with greater awareness.
I've found myself returning to other moments in my life.
The times I lost my footing.
Personally.
Professionally.
The moments that challenged my confidence.
The moments that asked me to begin again.
I don't just see the fall.
Each return has offered something different.
A little more awareness.
A little more understanding.
A little more grace.
I'm learning that becoming isn't about avoiding the fall.
It's about creating the space to pause...
...to reflect...
...and to move forward with greater awareness.
Perhaps that's what it means to fall up.
Not because we never fall down.
But because every return has the potential to elevate the way we see.
Keep becoming. 🦋
